ROTOTEST© VPA-R™ Chassis Dynamometer

Features:
  • Slip-free - Patented designed dynamometer with direct coupling to the wheel hubs (drive shafts).
  • Outstanding performance - The ROTOTEST VPA-R series of dynamometers offers a wide range of performance (power, speed and torque).
  • Patented torque system - Patented torque measurement system with exceptional torque accuracy.
  • Synchronous measurement - A dynamometer with high-speed synchronous measurement of torque and speed resulting in state of the art dynamometer control and measurement accuracy.
  • Calibrateable - Any professional grade dynamometer needs to be calibrateable. The ROTOTEST VPA-R dynamometer is torque calibrated using dead weights.
  • Zero inertia - The detection of minimal load changes is ensured by Rototest’s dynamometers, which by design have a negligible inertia.
  • No tire noise – With the tires removed, there will be no tire noise.
  • No tire explosions – Tire explosions are rare but do happen on roller type dynamometers due to overload. Using a hub type dynamometer will eliminate risk for tire explosions.
  • Normal suspension handling – The professional car set up (installation) of the ROTOTEST VPA-R dynamometer system enables a natural movement of the suspension during testing with only negligible influence.
  • No blocking of car doors – Safety above all. Rototest’s dynamometers are designed to give free passage through car doors when installed.
  • Stable – A negligible run-out together with a vertical reaction force (compared to horizontal reaction force seen of roller type dynamometers) gives a stable and low vibration test condition.
  • Center nut – A wheel hub connection system that will allow installation to any type of wheel hub.
  • No oil fumes – The hydraulic ROTOTEST VPA-R dynamometer system uses a sealed, pressurized system that generates no emission of hydraulic oil fumes and also allows it to be turned up-side-down without oil spill (imperative for commercial transports).
